Light of the World Foundation is an evangelical Christian nonprofit in Bowie, Maryland, co-founded by Galen TeSelle and Mark Wallace and led by its own board of directors and staff, focused on humanitarian outreach, youth development, and community support. I helped refine the organization’s digital presence to better communicate its mission and make its programs more accessible to the people who rely on them. The work required sensitivity to tone, cultural context, and the lived realities of the communities served. This project highlights my ability to design with compassion and clarity, ensuring that digital tools reinforce—rather than dilute—the organization’s commitment to dignity and care.

WeCare Bowie

WeCare Bowie is an evangelical Christian community initiative, also based in Bowie and co-founded by Galen TeSelle and Mark Wallace, dedicated to supporting vulnerable residents through food distribution, outreach, and local service programs. I modernized the platform to make it easier for volunteers, donors, and families in need to connect with available resources. The design emphasizes trust, transparency, and ease of use—qualities essential for organizations that operate at the intersection of civic responsibility and grassroots compassion. This project demonstrates my ability to build digital systems that strengthen local safety nets and make community support more accessible.
